The '14 offering of Barolo by Elio opens with dried herbs and bergamot along a leathery palate. The middle palate has stayed vital and has notes of wild cherry, rose petals and roasted herbs. Tannins are ample, but have integrated well with 6 years of age and are pulling to the palate along beautifully.
