2022 Caroline Morey 'Chambrees' Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, FRANCE. 750ml
From 3 parcels of vines 1960’s and early 1990’s old located in Le Chene, Les Masures and La Bergerie. Pure crystalline fruit showing great style and restraint with good generosity for AC level. Average is at least 40 years-old. New vines en-fermage in this vintage. Assembled all the lieu-dits this year, though all vinified separately.
Note: from Le Chêne, Les Masures and La Bergerie. Fresh and bright aromas of rosemary oil, Granny Smith apple, petrol and a hint of pear are complemented by sleek, delicious and solidly punchy medium weight flavors that display fine length on the balanced finale. This could use better depth but a few years of keeping should successfully address that. Recommended.
