Ribeira Sacra, Galaicia, mostly mencia. Incredibly steep slopes and terraces. Old vines. Wild looking plots. A beautiful wine, poised, fine boned, trimmed by feathery, silty tannins, succulent with amaro and blood orange characters, red cherry, green olive, black pepper, cinnamon bark note. Just shy of medium weight, so composed, elegance and detail in fruit, spice, savoury. A distinct, energetic and wonderful expression here.
