2019 François & Fils 'Rozier' Côte Rôtie, Northern Rhône, FRANCE. 750ml
Dark red; has a smoky, prolonged bouquet, shows bacon fat, vegetal airs, red plums, Lapsang Souchong tea, has good lift and interest. The palate serves a silky flow, good authority, a well fluid tone, the juice bonny, sustained. The tannins have pedigree, work nicely; it keeps its aromatics well throughout, and I like its oldish vine oily essence. There are notes of dates late on, indicative of the high heat, a hint of oak on the aftertaste, the finish dark, lasting, rather southern. 14.5°. 1,100 b. Bottled end July 2021. From 2025. 2039-41 Feb 2022
