Made by Philippe and Johann Robert and with close family connections to the revered Domaine Armand Rousseau their wines continue to improve every year.
90% de-stemmed Pinot Noir from the 1.3acre plot Au Ronsoy in the appelation of Marsannay. This is a mid slope vineyard on the border of Marsannay and Couchey. Fifty five year old vines growing again on heavy limestone soils. Hand picked, five day cold soak and fermentation in old concrete open fermenters. Pressed to 228l Tonneau of which around 30% are new. The wine then remains in barrel with one racking for fifteen months before being assembled for bottling.
