2022 Yann Bertrand Cuvée du Chaos - Fleurie, Beaujolais, France. 750ml
This 1.1 hectare vineyard has been farmed with biodynamic principles since 2013.
The vines range from 45 - 70 years and are planted on sandy grantic soil. Elevage in a 80% old barriques and 20% Demi-muds of at least 6+ years of age followed by 10 months aging in bottle prior to release.A little darker than the previous year (21 was wet, 22 hot) yet the elegance remains the same. Red fruits at the front, a weave of fresh spice in there also. Fine tannins with a layer of freshness. Electric sparks. Rocky depth. A wine that encapsulates the purity of Fleurie.
