2022 Ar.pe.pe 'Rosso di Valtellina' Nebbiolo. Lombardy-Italy. 750ml
Nebbiolo (known locally as chiavannasca), from the far north of Italy, against the Alps. Vine ares planted on terraces on the south side of a rare valley that runs east west. Grapes are often picked using modified cable cars to transport them down to the valley floor, the wine is light breezy and transparent but retains a gentle lick of tannin and spice that brings it all together. Super stuff.
