2023 Bandicoot Run Chardonnay, GIPPSLAND, VIC. 750ml
Made from a combination of Chardonnay off our 4 separate blocks, all picked on the same day. Destemmed with 25% left on skins to cold soak and macerate for a few days and the remaining 75% having overnight maceration, before being basket pressed to two barrels and a small tank. The barrel component was then racked to tank after 6 months and left to settle prior to bottling. The wine shows some flinty, reductive notes on opening which opens up to a mineral driven palate, with silky acidity and a subtle richness.
Organically farmed, made and bottled by us at our home in West Gippsland.
