2022 Bandicoot Run 'Lucid Dreams' - Gippsland, VIC. 750ml
This wine is an energetic combination of Tempranillo, Pinot Noir, Viognier and Chardonnay made from grapes that we farmed at our home in West Gippsland.
Similar to 2021, the Tempranillo, Pinot Noir and Viognier whole bunches were sealed up in a tank for two weeks for some juicy carbonic action. Around 8 months later we added Chardonnay which was a small ferment of hand destemmed fruit, left on skins for one week and then basket pressed. The fruit came from our older 'Minetta' vines planted in the early 2000s and adds layers of phenolics and body.
Elevage was completed in tank with a small amount of sulfur (15ppm) added before bottling. Sitting at 11.8% alc, $24 LUC, to be served chilled.
