Something distinct here! From dry grown, 40-year-old vines from Bianchet Vineyard which is in Coldstream of Yarra Valley. That’s been hiding away! It spends two weeks on skins before being pressed off to old oak to mature.
Distinct amber colour. Lots of grippy, chalky texture here. A delight with its rub of tannin and crunch of acidity. Pitch perfect, resolved orange wine zone. Scents of green mango, tonic water, nashi pear, green apple, hazelnut and curry powder. Lots on. Flavours similarly set with lots of edgy freshness and general sense of energy. It owns its space, feels delicious and interesting and does quiet complexity well. Excellent stuff all up. - MIKE BENNIE, WINEFRONT
