2021 Chanterêves Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune 'Paris L'Hopital' - Burgundy FRANCE 750ml
First made in 2016, fruit for this wine is sourced from a site in Paris-l’Hôpital, located just west of Maranges. This parcel of 45-year-old vines used to be blended into the Bourgogne Rouge. The steep, sandy slopes have a component of granite and are prone to erosion, so there is no tilling in the middle rows, and cover crops are maintained throughout the season. The site gives very small yields of small berries, resulting in a concentrated but delicate wine with silky texture and graphite lift.
