2023 Charles Oliver Country & Western Rosato, Pyrenees-Landsborough VIC
A darker styled rosato made of Sauvignon Blanc, and both direct pressed and macerated Syrah. The Sauvignon Blanc was again from Moonambel, and the Syrah from the Saddleback vineyard, Chapoutiers most southern blocks in the Landsborough Valley.
Excitingly aromatic, this wine bounces out of the glass with fresh layers of stonefruits, red berries and a crack of black pepper. Direct on the palate again a mixture of red berries, cracked black pepper, with a satisfyingly saline edge. Fans of the previous Jus d’amour should not hesitate with this one.
