Lelage-Pugeot is a premier cru, certified organic & certified biodynamic Champagne farm from Vrigny, France. The estate maintains 8.7 hectares on calcareous, clay loam and sandy soils. The vineyard is planted with 4.4 hectares of Meunier, 1.5 hectares of Chardonnay and 2.8 hectares of Pinot Noir.
In 1985, Dominique Lelarge took over his family estate and decided to go towards a more sustainable farming approach. The realization of how dangerous the use of pesticide is to nature and mankind was a wake-up call. This started his commitment to reducing the use of any chemical product in the vineyard.
The 2016 no-dosage offering's spent four years on lees and gives us inviting pastry and wild citrus aromas. Racy and firm palate with lemons and underripe spring stone fruits with an an awesome mineral frame. Balanced, precise and pure.
