The Gonon’s are firmly entrenched in the top handful of names in the Rhone Valley these days due to their diligent, manual organic vineyard work, rows ploughed by their trusty plough horse Samson, to their meticulous work in the winery and careful aging in seasoned barrels of various formats - from 100 year old Foudres to demi-muids to Burgundian Pieces. They're refreshingly friendly guys whose effort shows up in the character and quality of their wines.
