2021 Quealy Late Harvest Pinot Gris - Mornington Peninsula, VIC 375ml
Sweet Gris of this poise and balance is notoriously hard to produce, so kudos to the Quealy/Blanck crew for pulling it off with such style. “Lucas Blanck’s experience in Alsace has really allowed us to reach a much higher standard,” says Tom McCarthy. The wine is a treat—layered with entrancing aromas of orange, bakers spice, sweet pastry and salted lemons. A background of ginger biscuit and lime marmalade lend complex detail just as chalky grip and vibrant acidity pierce through the wine’s opulent richness. I’d say that given the quality, Quealy are underselling this wine, but you never know who is listening! – Suppliers notes
