2025 Christian Moreau Chablis - France. 750ml
Aged in stainless steel this year. 40+ years old vines. Comes mostly from a blend of 2 cuvees from the village of Beru in the east which Fabien describes as naturally reductive, and more recently a parcel from behind the hill of Grand cru’s towards Fontenay. The blend of these 2 terroirs brings extra complexity and a perfect balance of generosity, coolness and minerality from Fontenay together with reserve and finesse from Beru.
The 2025 Chablis Village, which comes from purchased fruit, has a well-defined nose with citrus peel and subtle leesy scents, a touch of sea spray in the background. The palate has commendable weight, a little spicier than expected, with hints of mango and apricot furnishing the finish. This has an easy-going quality to it. Neal Martin, Vinous Media, June 2026
