2022 Gentle Folk 'Scary Gully' Pinot Noir. Adelaide Hills-South Australia. 750ml

Gareth Belton has a knack for making wines that are delicious and effortless. From home in the Basket Ranges, working with very little intervention in the vineyard or the cellar, these wines are fast become modern benchmarks.

From one of the highest and oldest vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, we have produced an extremely refined and powerful Pinot noir that shows its ancient and high elevation soils. As usual with the house style, the wine is still very fresh and fruit-driven, with well-defined tannins that accentuates the wild and spicy character of the site. Vineyard: Scary Gully. Farming: Biodynamic, dry grown. Aspect: SE. Planted: 1985 Clone: MV6, D5V12, Pommard. Elevation: 620m. Pruning: Spur and cane. Soil: Clay over sandstone, schist and quartzite.
