2021 l’Octavin Joker, Jacquère. Jura, FRANCE. 750ml.
This wine was made with Jacquère grapes grown by Nathalie Montagnon from Le Mas des Abymes in the village of Chapareillan in the Savoie. Their vineyard is in a stunning area of flat plains with sheer mountains thrusting skyward just south of Chambéry.
As always, Alice drove to this location, picked the grapes manually, loaded them into her van and took them back to her new winery in Arbois where she made the wine.
It has the freshness we’ve come to expect from wines made with grapes Alice sources from the hinterland of the French Alps.
