2023 Panduro Mianes Mallorca - Mantonegro/Callet - Mallorca, SPAIN. 750ml
Wines from a small scale, organic producer in Mallorca. From the northeast of the island, where most of the indie producers work from. Wild looking vineyards. Making beautiful, lighter reds from a hot climate. This is pitched as a rose, kind of, a day on skins. Manto negro is the variety.
Lively looking, hazy pink colour. Frisky scents of cranberry, pomegranate juice, wild herbs, faint game meat, sea spray. The flavours similarly set in that haze with a vivid crush of tangy blood orange lifting things beautifully. So fresh, so energetic, a prettiness, saline mineral character in spades. A light chew through it all. Pure, joyous and brilliant.
