2017 Jacques Prieur 'Champs Pimont' Beaune 1er - BURGUNDY, FRANCE. 750ml
This large plot with the name meaning “fields at the foot of the hill” climbs the hillside behind Beaune, towards Pommard. These vines have full south exposure, and produce both white and red wine. The Pinot Noir in its lower part has plenty of clay in the soil, giving powerful wines with colour, while the high proportion of iron often brings out smoky notes. 30% new oak.
